Friendly reminder that NDK is this week at the Denver Sheraton Downtown this weekend. It is a little earlier then previous years. Which means we won’t be sharing the area with as many other events as we had the past view years.
Read MoreHey everyone, I'm at Fort Collins Comic Con this weekend, helping Crystal sell some art. I’ve been a bit busy watching the table, talking with attendees, and hanging out with other artists after hours. So, my post this week is going to be a little bit shorter than usual. FCCC has been lots of fun. Pretty relaxed, but getting to see some people who have bought stuff from Crystal before and are purposefully coming to see what new things she has to offer. And, of course, lots of folks who are excited about D&D and who love to swap stories.

The time has come. The geeks will once again gather at the Denver Convention Center and its halls will be filled with the creators and actors that make up our favorite comics, shows, movies and games. Denver Pop Culture Con (formally Denver Comic Con) is this weekend.
Read MoreHi friends, thanks for reading. I’m putting this post together on May 24, but delaying it so that you have something fresh to read on Tuesday once you get back from the Memorial Day holiday. I think that make me a thoughtful person who cares about your entertainment and emotional well-being. Also, in the much more cavalier sense, it greatly increases the chances that this will end up in front of your eyeballs. I would be lying if I said that audience and reach wasn’t something that I think about sometimes. Anyways, let’s talk about some geeky stuff.

The party is challenged with concocting a malty lager that casts a joyful spell on all whom taste it. Maibock is a refreshing golden liquid which tastes of honey and grain and smells of sweet fruit.
This years event will be held at the Monkey Barrel on Saturday, May 25th at 7:00 PM. The first 200 people to the free event will get a free glass with the beer’s logo. There will also be a Cosplay Contest where winners get tickets to Denver Pop Culture Con and an LED Dance Floor. Not that I plan on dancing, no one wants to see that. But you are probably great at it so you should come on down this weekend and enjoy yourself!
Bock Machina is named after the gaming group Vox Machina from “Critical Role” and joins the hefty list of previous PCC/DCC beers:
The Fantastic Pour
The Caped Brewsader
Brews Wayne
Hulk’s Mash
Snape-ricot
I Am Brewt
Razznarock
