NDK is This Week!

Friendly reminder that NDK is this week at the Denver Sheraton Downtown this weekend. It is a little earlier then previous years. Which means we won’t be sharing the area with as many other events as we had the past view years.

This year there are 16 guests (convenient link to guests page) coming to the convention. We have 9 voice actors, 5 cosplay guests, and 2 misc (don’t discount the misc though, they are cool). Voice actors are Dante Basco (Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jake Long in American Dragon), Ray Chase (Howzer in Seven Deadly Sins, Roswall in RE:Zero and many many video games), Leah Clark (Mavis in Fairy Tail Zero, Blair in Soul Eater), Robbie Daymond (Spider-Man in the current animated Marvel shows, Mumen Rider in Once Punch Man, and a ton of other stuff), Jerry Jewell (Barry the Chopper/Number 66 in Fullmetal Alchemist, Principal Nezu in My Hero Academia), Brittney Karbowski (Yamada in Yamada’s First Time, Rimuru in That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime), Erica Mendez (Ryuko in Kill la Kill, Sailor Uranus in the new Sailor Moon), Max Mittelman (King the Sin of Sloth in Seven Deadly Sins, Ryuji in PERSONA 5) , and Jad Saxton (Kanna in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, Koneko in High School DxD). Each actor only has a very small portion of the amazing work listed here. You should really come down and see them.

OK, that once sentence ended up really really long, sorry about that, but I am not fixing it.

The cosplay quests are Heather Martin, Inoli, Kimu, Teca, and Pannon. I could try to describe their cosplay from their guest photos, but a picture is worth a 1 ,000 words, and I don’t want to write a 5 - 5,000 word paragraphs here, nor do I think you would read them.

Unfortunately two quests are missing from this page. Queen D the returning Burlesque producer is returning to NDK. The 18+ Royal Revue Burlesque Show will be at 9:30 PM in Main Events with an encore show at 9:30 PM on Saturday. The Friday show is longer though, so if you can, go to that one. And then we have the amazing Dr. Aliza Freedman. A professor in Japanese Literature and Film from the University of Oregon. She will have a panel called “Anime influence: What can be learned from Japanese popular culture" at 2:00 PM in Panel Room 2 on Saturday.

If you want to review what all is happening and make a plan of attack please check out the Program Book, Map, and Schedule all on the main NDK Page.

Have fun this weekend guys!
