Fangirl (Book) Review

Fangirl (Book) Review

Hey all! Here is my review of the book “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell.

This book follows Cath and her twin sister, Wren as they navigate their first year of Collage. In her first year of college we watch as Cath navigates new responsibilities with schoolwork, form new relationships and redefine old ones while she closes the chapter on her life with the end of a book series that has become such a big part of her life. Cath is your normal freshman in college, learning the ropes at a new school and figuring out that not everything works out the way you want. Something that is very different from the world that she has created as a fanfic author of the fictional, “Carry On”.

Cari's E3 2017 Review

Cari's E3 2017 Review

Hey Guys, Cari here and I’m reporting on E3 2017 after returning from L.A. I don’t have a ton to report this year but here are my first impressions of the things that I saw. Day one I got to see Natsume’s booth, DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT, and Marvel versus Capcom. (I saw many things including gaming setups and technology and there were a ton of games showcased this year, these are what I got my hands on). Day two was very light, I played Super Mario Odyssey and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and watched Chris play some Knack II. Day three I played Lego Dimensions and Sonic Forces.

E3 - Last Year and This Year

Hey everyone! Carebear here sharing a few thoughts about my hopes for E3 this year. The convention is in less than a week and it looks like we are in for a treat! So, to start I thought I’d take a quick look back at some of the things we saw last year that are now a reality and then look at some of the things I either want to see or think might have a presence based on what I saw last year. Let’s start off by taking a little trip down memory lane and look back at games that were demos a year ago that we have now spent countless hours playing.

COAF 2017 Review

Hey everyone, Carebear here to share my experience from Colorado Animefest 2017. This is the second year for the convention and you could see some growth and improvement all over the Con. This was also the second year for it to be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Denver, a small but in my humble opinion well setup hotel. So, let’s get started with the review. I’m going to start by talking about the things I went to see on each day and then I’ll talk about some of the other things that were happening throughout the weekend.

Carebear's Convention Self Care

Hi guys, Carebear here with a quick blog before Colorado Animefest’s second year gets off and running. As some of you may be aware I do occasional writing and recently decided to incorporate my two sides, “Geeky” Carebear and “Therapist” Carebear. For this blog I kind of wanted to focus on how I personally manage social anxiety. The last couple of days I have been feeling “off” and wasn’t quite sure why, I got plenty of sun at the zoo on Sunday, I’ve been trying to cut back on my caffeine intake, doing little things like putting on new makeup. But I still found myself wanting to curl up and cry not knowing why and then it dawned on me, I’m scared.
