So the new year has arrived, and that means a whole new slew of games to look forward to. Developers have been working on games for 2+ years and now they get to let them in the wild. So what are am I looking forward to this year (and maybe the other Gameslave writers if they add to this)?

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning: Coming out February 7th is this; the first RPG of 2012 I am looking forward to. Following the no-real-class-selection plan you set your abilities as you play with fate (a talent system). The game looks fun and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Darksiders 2: I can only hope that I see this one this year. A sequel to the non-inventive but still really fun game, Darksiders. It was a mix of God of War and Legend of Zelda with a small dash of Portal, and was authentically entertaining. I can only hope that the new entry keeps the formula going.

Mass Effect 3: Commander Shepard has tried to warn the galaxy that the reapers are coming, and no one has listened to him. Well on 03/06/12 they are here and only one man can prevent harvesting. Following from your save file in Mass Effect 2 you get to complete Shepard's story and save the Galaxy, so we hope...

Diablo III: Again, I am assuming this comes out this year. Not like it has been in beta for 6 months now or something like that. This game will be a time sink and while I cannot wait for it, I can only hope that it does not come out near other games, as they will not sale near as well as they could hope.

And that is what I can think of now. Anything I am missing?
