So a week or so ago we posted a Star Wars Call Me Maybe Parody. Well we here at The Gameslave are equal opportunity geeks. As I felt that, to give the other side of the coin an equal chance, I needed to post this Start Trek: The Next Generation Call Me Maybe parody video that was done in the same fasion as the Star Wars paroday. Enjoy my friends.
You know of him, you have heard his name in whispers. Now you must know Death, and why he rides.
Games are all about choice anymore, but how can you make this sort of choice apparent in marketing? People see a paper ad, watch a TV commercial, or see a video on YouTube. These are typically pretty one sided story telling. Ahh but not all is how it seems. Since YouTube does allow you to add fields that can be clicked on it is possible to have a choose your own adventure YouTube trailer. Hence EA has given us the "Crysis 3 Official Single Player Interactive Demo". Not the best of all titles, but if you have 20 minutes to kill you might as well relive all those choose your adventure books.
A co-worker showed me this video at work the other day. After which I felt that the rest of you should suffer as I have.
Long time readers know that I was a fan of Darksiders, so it should come as no surprise that I cannot wait to play the sequel to the game, Darksiders 2 (inventive huh?). Well to wet the appetite of those like me THQ released a story trailer for the game.
Agent 47 is back in business, and that means people are going to die. Want to see the different ways that you can bring your targets to the end of their lives? Well the full 17 minute 31 second E3 demo is now available for the public to watch. Hope you like it as much as IrishPride and I did.
For those of you that are fans of documentaries Crystal Dynamics has announced that they are going to do a "fly on the wall" documentary of the final hours of TOMB RAIDER's creation. Traditionally the "Final Hours" series created by Geoff Keighley have been interactive apps for iPad and PC. This time they are expanding it by adding a video component that will be produced by Geoff and hosted by Zachary Levi. The first of the series is now live and will have additional videos joining it in coming weeks.
It would appear that I am on a music video kick this week. Does everyone remember the Zelda violinist that I posted sometime ago? If not it was done by Lindsey Stirling. Well it appears she has been busy and has since created two other videos. Once for Lord of the Rings and one for Skyrim. Both of these are pretty good and the Skyrim video proves that the violin is mightier then the sword.
Were you picked on in Middle / High School? Did you never get the the respect that you really deserved? Well that was life for most us, and now we are in control! We are important, and we have fan bases in the 100,000's (Disclaimer: Other people, not me). But with that pattern, The Guild / Geek Sundry have created a new song, and a music video to go with it.
