The Professional Gamer - February 6, 2015

Well, I may have had a lot of work to do this week, but I still managed to have a lot of fun this week.  I spent a lot of time with Hyrule Warriors, but also have been re-reading one of my favorite comics and watching a sequel to one of the best animated series from the past 5 years.  All in all, a great week.  Read on to learn the details.

Playing:  This week, I have spent most of my time playing Hyrule Warriors with Crystal.  Mostly, we have been working through the Master Quest map.  The biggest challenge is typically not completing the levels, but with having enough of the exploration items.  We downloaded the Majora's Mask DLC when it was released on Thursday.  Young Link and Tingle are fun, although Tingle's tendency to make weird hoots and other noises all the time is super annoying.  The rules for the Termina Map seem like that might pose a huge challenge; but we haven't tried to play it yet.

Reading:  I'm still trying to find exactly the point where I left of in Overwhelmed the last time I read it, but as yet, I think I might still be reading material that I read before.  Either way, I'm not really sure.  But, I've borrowed Vol. 1 and 2 of the color version of Scott Pilgrim from the library, and have been reading those.  Contrary to my original reading of the series, I'm taking my time on this read-through.  The coloration adds a lot to the story, and makes the drawings much more interesting to look at carefully.

Watching:  This past week, I started watching the second series of Mushi-shi.  So far, the series is maybe not quite as good as the first series was.  However, considering that the first series was nearly perfect, this leaves the second series with a mere rating of "great".  At about 6 episodes in, I definitely recommend viewing to all of you.

That's all I've had going on this week.  I'm thinking about buying Elite Dangerous.  Has anyone played it yet?  We'll see what happens next week!  Game on!
