The Professional Gamer - November 4, 2019
/Alright folks, not a lot of reporting this week. Though, I suppose I did binge an entire anime series since the last time we talked. Let’s talk about that and also some of the seasonal anime, cause I have some opinions.
Let’s do the seasonal anime first.
My Hero Academia: New season has some interesting promise, but I’m crying for poor Deku getting thrown to the wolves to fast.
Kemono Michi is delightful. Watch this show.
Cautious Hero is not so good. I’m gonna give this show one more episode, but I just can’t get into stuff where the protag is a jerk.
Alright, next up, I watched all of O Maidens in your Savage Season, and I have some really mixed feelings about this show, so this is going to likely be a little scattered as I try to gather my thoughts. Production quality on the show is very good, with some great animated sequences, good soundtrack (especially the opening), and some wonderful voice acting. On the other hand, the pacing was emotionally uneven. Like there are a lot of great dramatic and comedic moments. But sometimes they are way to close together, and I ended up feeling like I have emotion whiplash. Like, I was actually grumpy for the last few episodes cause things were messing me up so bad. I think it is worth a watch. Just be prepared for a lot of tough feelings.
