I hope everyone has had a good week and found lots of ways to be geeky. I certainly did. I made some significant progress in Elite: Dangerous and also watched some anime. Read on to find out about my week.

This week, I was able to purchase a Type 9 Heavy Freighter, which means that I can carry a huge amount of cargo at very low speeds throughout the galaxy. Moving to this ship from my previous vessel is an enormous change in terms of maneuverability and speed. I can't evade combat anymore, but now my ship is so big that no one can hold me anywhere based on their mass. I'm going to roll my upcoming profits into gearing my ship up to have some defensive capability, as well as upgraded thrusters to make travel a little faster.

On the anime front, I'm continuing to watch Yuri!! on Ice as the episodes are released. The show seems to be providing some better than average representation of queerness. If they continue working on these same themes going forward, I hope they continue to treat the subject with respect, and not reduce any of the characters into strawmen.

Last, I've finished watching Mob Psycho 100, which was a lot of fun. I'm not quite certain that this series is better than One Punch Man, but it was still very good. And, I really love the message of this anime: just because you have some ability, it doesn't make you special; we are all just humans.

And that's all I've got for now. Have a great week and game on!
